When it comes to scoring, there’s nothing quite like the magic in England’s top flight.

It’s the middle of a sweltering summer, which sadly means the 2024/2025 English Premier League season has long been in our rearview. But don’t fret footy friends! Though distance makes the heart grow fonder, we’ve got the perfect medicine to help you turn that frown upside down: a countdown of the best goals from the past season.

While perennial titans of the pitch like Erling Haaland, Bruno Fernandes, Reece James, Kevin De Bruyne and Mohamed Salah came close to slotting in our list, these were the stunners from the 2024/2025 EPL campaign that universally stole the show and delighted fans.

The 2024/2025 English Premier League season's best goals

Kaoru Mitoma – Brighton vs. Chelsea

For Kaoru Mitoma, it’s all about control, and his is nothing short of spectacular. In a clash against Chelsea, the Japanese footballer deftly corralled a 70-yard boot from his keeper mid-air between two defenders before slotting it in far post.

Julio Enciso – Everton vs. Ipswich Town

Down 2-0 and treading water against a more cohesive and offensively stout Everton side, Ipswich Town needed a miracle, and Julio Enciso answered. On loan from Brighton, the Paraguayan winger sliced through a sea of blues before unloading a savage strike. Ball placement, velocity, and spin combined to complete an unstoppable, jaw-dropping goal. Better yet, Enciso provided the spark needed to not only thwart Everton from running amuck against the Tractor Boys, but also to mount a comeback and earn a point from the draw.

Harry Wilson – Fulham vs. Brentford

Harry Wilson, though relegated to serve as a substitute, has no problem shining on his own. For one of his five goals off the bench, the Welsh winger scored on a delicate, acrobatic heel flick that left Brentford’s keeper Mark Flekken in complete disgust.

Alexander Isak – Newcastle vs. Liverpool

When we think of athletes and velocity in sports, memories of Randy Johnson mowing down batters with 100+ mph fast balls usually come to mind, not Alexander Isak. That said, Newcastle’s Swedish striker made his case for why we’re all wrong with his goal in the Magpies’ thriller against Liverpool. After beating the Reds’ titan Virgil van Dijk with a clever first touch, Isak blasted a missile into the top-right corner from just outside the 18. Eclipsing 108 km/hour, Isak’s record-breaking smash earned the 25-year-old striker the award for the 2024/2025 Oracle Most Powerful Goal.

Jhon Duran – Aston Villa vs. Everton

Jhon Duran may have shipped out of the Premier League to join Saudi club Al-Nassr in a monstrous deal, but the memory of his phenomenal strike isn’t going anywhere. Duran ripped an absolute howler from about 40 yards out, and the perfect upper-90 placement meant Everton’s keeper never had a chance.

Cole Palmer – Chelsea vs. Brighton

Cole Palmer proved why he’s one of the best in the biz when it comes to set pieces with his glorious strike against Brighton. On a free kick against the Seagulls, Palmer’s in-swinger from about 30 yards out was just one part of his incredible body of work that match. Palmer became the first player in Premier League history to score four goals in one half, netting his quartet all within an unfathomable 20-minute span. They’ll be singing his praises at Stamford Bridge for many years to come.

Omar Marmoush – Manchester City vs. Bournemouth

When your squad boasts a myriad of greats like Erling Haaland, Rodri, Bernardo Silva, Mateo Kovačić, Phil Foden, and the Citizens’ former talisman Kevin De Bruyne, standing out amongst that type of elite talent would be difficult for most – just not for Omar Marmoush. Off a pass at midfield, Manchester City’s Egyptian footballer penetrated about 10 yards into a lackadaisical Bournemouth defense before belting a spectacular screamer “from downtown” that banged off the post and into the net. The extraordinary goal earned Marmoush the 2024/2025 Guinness Goal of the Season
